Is serverquery working?

Postby FlyveHest » Tue Apr 28, 2009 12:19 am

I just tried enabling serverquery, but I get nothing but "Server is offline or not responding"

Checking my servers log, I can see the following lines every time I reload the frontpage

Code: Select all

NetComeGo: Open TheWorld 04/28/09 08:59:05 192.168.0.13:3683 NetComeGo: Close TcpipConnection_4 192.168.0.13:3683 04/28/09 08:59:05
So, something is happening, its just not enough, it seems :)

I am running UT3 2.0 w/Titan and UTStatsDB 3.06, I am querying port 7777 (i've tried 6500 also, but nothing seems to happen there, no data on webpage, no entry in serverlog), and i've tried every available type (UT3, GameSpy etc)

Try the latest serverquery.php file via SVN. Also, you can specify the query port on the command line to ensure that you have the correct port.

I just downloaded serverquery.php from SVN (are other files necessary, or it that the only one related to querying servers?)

Still no dice .. I tried specifying -queryport 6500 on my commandline, but I can see that UT3 doesn't bind to or listen to that port at all (it uses 7777, 13000 and 14001), so this might just be a UT issue.

I still get connection attempts in the serverlog, if I try and query port 7777, though nothing is shown on the utstats webpage.

I can see in the INI files that the default query port is 6500 also, do I need to enable being able to query the server in the commandline or INI files somewhere?

Maybe I should note that I am running this server on a LAN, I don't know i UT3 disables query-ability when running on a LAN? (The server shows up in the local LAN browser just fine, and I can see map, mutators etc when using the standard UT3 server browser)

It is likely that query is not enabled unless connecting to Gamespy.
