Cant query ut2004, please help...

Hi,

Ive been trying to install utstatsdb on a godaddy.com hosted website for a gameservers.com ut2004 server but no luck, the ftp wont connect to download the logs and i dont get anything from the server query in version 3.02 through 3.06. I have tryed with the game server's web hosting and with them i can connect with the ftp but still wont query my server.

I have installed utstatsdb many times before and all went well but i cant seem to get anything from anything this time........

I edited the ut2004.ini with all the settings from olstats, uploaded the packages, created tables and set all options in utstatsdb like i always do but still nothing...

But what i want to know, ,here is my ip 208.167.232.100:7777 can anyone get anything out of it? gametracker can but then again its owned by gameservers.com

Olstats reports being installed properly, i also tryed other protocols like game spy, utstatsdb 3.02 reports server offline, version 3.06 reports offline or not responding with errors like "Fclose()" and "Fopen()" with all protocols...

No, it appears that the query port is not open. You'll need to have them open the query port (UDP 7787). As for gameservers.com, they're just pulling their list from the master server.

Yayyyyyyyyyy!!! got the query to work ^^, now for the ftp problem on the godaddy host.....

Ok i have the server info but cant see the players in the game,, i see the numbers of players but cant see theyre names or anything....

Try disabling all but the OLStats mutator and see if you can query players then.

ok i tryed without mutators and the same thing, but i have sent a request to gameservers.com to open udp port 7787.....

here is what godaddy.com's host say when i try to query:

ok,, i cant see the player name only when bots are in the game,, no bots i can see myself but as soon as the bots join, no names ,, is it taking me for a bot you think?

Ok, if this happens to anyone else,, just set to not query bots in the server query config... ^^

Godaddy.com is crap,, i stopped trying, good for redirect but crap for the rest......

I didn't get a different result, but I also didn't get the errors. I'll look into it further.

Arrrf,, forget about it i got a response from godaddy.com (were the described above script errors are from) and they told me that they can not open these ports 7777, 7787, 7778 or any other and also concerning the ftp function in php they told me that on a shared hosting it can not be done, riiiiight : \ .

So like i said earlyer, goddaddy.com good for redirect but for the rest, NADA!

With gamerservers FREE web hosting i have less space and bandwith (but very reasonable) BUT!! they AT LEASE give you the basic functions of the damn server! ^^, here i transfered the stats domain to excelclan.info ,, everything is a go go!
