UT3 Dedicated Linux Server

The FileWriter class has been fixed on the latest beta patch for the UT3 dedicated Linux server. Imagine my surprise when a stat log file appeared after I'd nearly given up all hope.

Too bad it still crashes as soon as someone connects.

Hi Panther, I saw it on the ut3servers list as well.
Seems like Ryan is listening for feedback on that right now though, so maybe you can "speak up loudly" as he puts it and we can get it fixed fully?

I narrowed down the crash to....UT3Stats. I will have to narrow down where the problem is occurring, but I probably can't do that until this weekend. The crash is not occurring in Windows, only Linux, so I'm a bit skeptical as to whether or not it's a problem with UT3Stats.

It appears that the crashes were occuring when trying to write the player unique IDs. Apparently this function had never worked as expected, but it only caused crashes on the Linux version, not the Windows version. Either way, the function has been fixed in UT3Stats version 0.93.
